Vente de garage annuelle - Tyler Huneault

Hello TYLER’S 16th ANNUAL Garage
Inspirational and Hope SALE
All proceeds to benefit
“SIALIDOSIS Research at McMaster University

WHEN: Saturday, May 13th, 2017 (* rain or shine)
TIME: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
WHERE: 1407 McMahon Ave (*corner of Albion Road)
Tyler was diagnosed at the age of 1, with an ultra rare genetic disorder called infantile onset SIALIDOSIS. He is the only known child living with this disorder in North America. Tyler's cells do not produce a certain enzyme (alpha-neuraminidase), which breaks down proteins in the cell.
For those who have been following Tyler’s story the 2017 NEWS!!  Tyler is doing very well!    His Kidney transplant from Dec 2011 is fantastic!   God bless the donor family!! Tyler still needs at least a discovery of a treatment to stop the progress of Sialidosis. He turned 18, an age he wasn’t supposed to make!   This inspirational garage sale gives us the hope that someday those words will not be spoken to a parent.... For the people who have never heard of this they often ask “How does this affect him”  Quite simply, Sialidosis affects all cells. Tyler is significantly affected-name any organ and Tyler has some difficulty with it...from head to toes
Despite all of it;
Tyler is the happiest 18 year old we know.
Much to do with this community providing him and us with positivity and hope!
Garage Sale.
1.Donate items to sell. Items in good clean condition may be dropped off at our home beginning the week of May 1st  ...after 5 p.m.    If you have an item that is of high value that you would like to sell, but don’t want to donate all of the proceeds, a partial donation would also be greatly appreciated.
 Heavy items can also be sold, however we are unable to pick up or deliver them for you. We would be happy to display them on a photo table with the price and contact information. Baby safety items like cribs and car seats cannot be resold because of by-laws for safety regulation.  That applies to bicycle helmets too!   We realize over the years we cannot sell old electronics of any sort. So please do not donate old TV’s, computer monitors, cordless telephones, large speakers, VCR’s and Video tapes...unless they are younger than 3 years old.
2. Make a financial donation. Cheques should be addressed to McMaster University, and indicate “Sialidosis Research Fund “in the memo line of the cheque. Income tax receipts will be issued by McMaster University.  If you want to do that directly contact me for the mailing or online address.
3. Volunteer to help at the Garage Sale. Even a couple of hours would be greatly appreciated!
4. Hold a garage sale, then donate some of your proceeds to McMaster University.
